Hard to believe it was already a month ago that I went on one of my first outings with my roomies, to the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party in Madison Square Park! 17 pitmasters from all over the southern U.S. came up to New York City for the two-day event, June 8 and 9. There was pulled pork, ribs, beer, and coleslaw galore.
The weather was beautiful and just sitting on the grass you could enjoy free music, people watching and goodies from sponsors set up all around. After hanging out for awhile I also got my first shake (peanut butter of course) from Shake Shack – another place I will be back soon!
